The miniDebConf19 Vaumarcus was this week-end in Vaumarcus. Some 35 attendees gathered together in LeCamp, which provided for accomodation, food and all the hacking and talk spaces.
The view is really fantastic from here! Thanks for all the fish!
A dozen of talks and BoFs ranging from ZFS to keyboard firmwares were presented, and, thanks to the awesome DebConf Video Team volunteers, a live video feed was provided covering most talks for remote attendees. Most talk videos are available already on the Meetings Archive.
Thank you to our sponsors and supporters!
We’ll be getting in touch with the attendees soon to gather feedback about the miniDebConf; the debian.ch association will then discuss early next year whether to organize another miniDebConf in 2020. We’ll keep you posted!
We’re opening the Call for Presentations for the miniDebConf19 Vaumarcus
now, until October 20, so please contribute to the MiniDebConf by proposing a talk, workshop, birds of feather (BoF) session, etc, directly on the Debian wiki: /Vaumarcus/TalkSubmissions
We are aiming for talks which are somehow related to Debian or Free Software in general, see the wiki for subject suggestions. We expect submissions and talks to be held in English, as this is the working language in Debian and at this event.
Registration is also still open; through the Debian wiki: Vaumarcus/Registration
Debian Sprints are welcome
The place is ideal for a 2 days’ sprint; so we encourage teams to assemble and gather in Vaumarcus!
More sponsors and more hands wanted
We’re looking for more sponsors willing to help making this event possible; to help making it easier for anyone interested to attend.
Get in touch
We gather on the #debian.ch channel on irc.debian.org
and on the firstname.lastname@example.org
list. For more private matters, talk to email@example.com
Thank you already!
We’re looking forward to seeing a lot of you in Vaumarcus!

The Vaumarcus miniDebConf19 is happening! Come see the fantastic view from the shores of Lake Neuchâtel, in Switzerland! We’re going to have two-and-a-half days of presentations and hacking in this marvelous venue and anybody interested in Debian development is welcome.
Registration is open
Registration is open now, and free, so go add your name and details on the Debian wiki: Vaumarcus/Registration
We’ll accept registrations until late, but don’t wait too much before making your travel plans! We have you covered with a lot of attendee information already: Vaumarcus.
We’re looking for sponsors willing to help making this event possible; to help making it easier for anyone interested to attend. We have not yet decided upon sponsor categories and benefits, but come talk to us already if you can help!
More hands wanted
Things are on a good track, but we need more help. Specifically, Content, Bar, Sponsoring and Attendee support would benefit from more hands.
